Rottenburg a. d. Laaber. Today was a special day for pupils, teachers, guests of honour and representatives of the district of Landshut, who gathered for the inauguration of the renovated and extended Realschule Rottenburg. After an intensive 3 1/2 year construction period, during which we were responsible for the architectural design, this important project has been successfully completed.

Headmaster Johannes Pfann opened the ceremony. In his speech, he looked back over the past three years and recalled the ups and downs of this joint project.

In his address, District Administrator Peter Dreier emphasised the importance of education as the basis for a future career. He wished the students and teachers not only success but also joy and encouraged solidarity in the school community.

In his speech, Manfred Brodschelm, representative of the Ministry of Education, spoke about modern technology. He emphasised that it is now part of the basic equipment of every school. The secondary school is now optimally equipped to offer the pupils a modern learning space. He also emphasised the positive energy that can be generated in a school family.

Stefan Hopfensperger, Head of Delta ImmoTec Landshut, gave an insight into the different phases of the project. He thanked everyone involved for their patience and support, especially during the challenges of the Corona closures. His words underlined the importance of craftsmanship in all construction projects.

Between speeches, the school choir provided musical entertainment and students from the drama club performed a medley of past performances. Another group gave a musical tour of the decades of sport. Finally, the teachers' choir delighted the audience with their song "I am a teacher". A special highlight was the Christian blessing, which brought the programme to an atmospheric close.
