The “Summer vacation workshop” program took place again this year. On Monday afternoon, September 2nd, we were very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome 12 inquisitive school kids to our company.
“Summer Vacation Workshop” is an initiative in which regional companies work together to present various apprenticeships. While the kids are at the Dräxlmaier Group in the morning, interesting company tours are organized for the afternoon. The aim is to get young people interested in STEM professions (science, tech, engineering and maths) and to promote their individual talents.
This year, we presented the four training professions “Plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air-conditioning technology”, “Draftsperson, specializing in architecture”, “Technical designer for electrical systems” and “Technical designer for mechanical engineering” to the students. Our current trainees introduced the students to the “Revit” and “DIALux” programs. It was particularly exciting when they were able to try out Revit for themselves and search for ten hidden Minions in a 3D version of our head office. They were also allowed to make a photo holder from a piece of conduit in the warehouse.
