Project description

Construction phase 1.1 at the Maximilian-von-Montgelas-Gymnasium in Vilsbiburg was the general refurbishment of the 2nd floor of the existing building and was carried out during regular school term time. In addition to the new roof surface and windows, the classrooms and corridors were fitted with high-quality linoleum flooring and sound-absorbent acoustic ceilings. The new color scheme provides a uniform look throughout the building. In the completed part of the building, the colors blue and white create a relaxing and calming atmosphere with additional subtle and simple touches of black. The classrooms have been fitted with sophisticated equipment such as large screens and document imaging cameras. The air quality in the rooms is excellent due to the decentralized ventilation system. Ample screens provide enough shade in the classrooms to protect from the summer sun. The comprehensive renovation of the fire protection system includes an improved emergency escape route concept and an early warning fire detection system.
