This project combines progressive architecture and functional design. The carefully planned infrastructure allows a seamless and secure access for numerous employees. We rely on state-of-the-art technologies and sustainable construction methods to create an ideal working environment.
Rapid urbanization in China has led to more frequent urban flooding. The new building law in China therefore requires the construction of so-called "sponge cities", which act as rainwater retention basins and aim to collect and reuse rainwater. In addition, the varying levels of the natural terrain were taken into account so that the floors of the halls as well as the office, technical and social buildings are above street level.
- Sustainability.Reduction of the CO2 footprint in new buildings.The construction of the new production site marks an important step towards sustainability. The roof of the factory is used to generate solar power, while efficient building insulation, modern pumps and compressors as well as a daylight-controlled lighting system also reduce the CO2 footprint. This is complemented by a metering and consumption measurement system for optimum energy utilization. This project can be regarded as best practice for industrial plants in China.
- Sustainability.Use of the factory roof for solar power generation.The factory roof was equipped with a 3.8 MWp photovoltaic system that optimizes in-house consumption. This saves 5 MWh of energy per year and reduces CO2 emissions by 350g per kWh of electricity generated.
- Sustainability.Effective insulation minimizes energy loss.High-quality building insulation ensures optimum thermal insulation. The high standard of walls, windows and the roof is designed to keep as much of the heat inside the building. This minimizes energy loss and significantly reduces energy consumption for heating and cooling.
- Sustainability.Energy-efficient pumps and compressors.Considering the high cost of compressed air, targeted measures were implemented to reduce costs and minimize the environmental impact. Energy consumption at the plant was optimized through demand-controlled system management and the use of highly efficient devices. Compressed air setpoint optimization and the targeted installation of pressure boosting systems at selected locations enable the efficient use of resources. Waste heat is also utilized effectively.
- Sustainability.Daylight control systems.The daylight-controlled lighting system in the factory utilizes adjustable LED lighting technology in conjunction with daylight control, which not only lets in natural light an thus creates a pleasant atmosphere, but also leads to energy savings of 35% on lighting. This innovative solution ensures that even on darker days there is no distracting darkness, all factors which contribute to a productive and comfortable working environment.
