This week we had the “Holidays in the Workshop” program, where pupils from the local region can come and see professions “for real”.  We were pleased to welcome 18 pupils on Monday 4th September.

The “Holidays in the Workshop” is an initiative of local companies coming together to present various apprenticeships in different occupations and to let young people see them for themselves. Every afternoon the kids get an exciting tour of a company;  in the mornings they are at the Dräxlmaier Group. The aim of these varied tours is to motivate young people to try out one of the STEM professions and also to promote new talent.
 

We presented the pupils with two professions: "Technician for Sanitary, heating and air-conditioning” and also “Draftsman/woman for architecture”.  Their activities included creating a photo frame out of a pipe and also drafting a model house and to design the exterior.
