On 27 November 2025, the dedication and blessing ceremony of the new building of the Geisenfeld secondary school took place. Numerous guests from politics, public authorities and the school community came together to celebrate this milestone. Among those present were District Councillor, Albert Gürtner, Mayor Paul Weber, Ministerial Representative Michael Heimes, Vice Principal Wilfried Krauß and Head of the school Sabine Billinger. Representatives from the district authorities, the parents' council and other schools also took part – a strong sign of solidarity in the educational region. Our company was responsible for the entire construction process, from the initial concepts to the final delivery. A project that has created not only functional spaces, but also inspiring learning environments.
The blessing by Protestant Deacon Peter Kessler and Catholic parish priest Dr Andreas Ring made it clear that this is not just about a school building, but about the people who learn and work there. Pupils recited personal prayers they had written themselves, expressing wishes such as ‘May everyone feel at ease and happy here and may we have a strong sense of community’ and ‘Patience with ourselves and others’. Further messages were found on the school's wishing tree: friendliness, respect, equal opportunities and a ‘colourful, diverse school’. These values reflect the spirit of the new building.

Our project manager Stefan H. emphasised in his speech:
"It is impressive that the building largely reflects the original design ideas – a sign of how sustainable and future-oriented these concepts were from the outset. We wanted to design a school environment for 900 secondary school pupils that supports both traditional teaching and modern, open forms of learning. This resulted in open learning spaces that enable flexible use, teamwork and independent learning without disturbing the tranquillity of traditional classrooms."
The headmistress, Sabine Billinger, also emphasised the importance of the new building:
‘Just two and a half years after the ground-breaking ceremony, we can proudly say today: it was worth it. The pupils will spend exciting school years here in a smart school of the future – a school that is a happy and healthy place and which makes learning fun.’
With bright classrooms, modern specialised facilities and a sheltered courtyard, the new building provides the ideal conditions for contemporary learning. The investment of €66 million underscores the district's clear stance: education is valuable and geared towards the future. And when the triple-span gym and cafeteria are completed in autumn 2028, this campus will finally become a place where dreams can grow – for generations of students to come.
