- New battery production siteThe former production and logistics hall in Landau with an area of 23,000 m² was converted for the assembly of high-voltage battery modules. The project includes the conversion of the production and quality inspection area, the logistics areas and the outdoor facilities. An observation area for defective cell modules and a container area for hazard prevention are also part of the project.
The facility has a total of nine bays and offers a spacious and high-tech infrastructure. Six of these bays in particular are intended for future HV battery module assembly.
The building is air-conditioned using innovative heat pump technology that meets the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability and technical cleanliness. Seamless integration of building and plant technology completes the overall energy concept. Energy consumption is continuously measured digitally and the energy and process data of the systems are visualized.
In the event of an emergency, a highly complex fire protection system enables rapid detection and automatic firefighting, thus minimizing the risk of fire spreading.
